XYZ 3-D Model:
The Basic Elements Course is the study of basic design concepts with projects in shape, line, value, texture, pattern, spatial illusion, and form. In the Basic Elements course we were able to expand our understanding of the basic principles and elements of design and apply that knowledge through exploratory design compositions and modeling. Using the journal and 2- dimensional presentations of my work that I created of all the knowledge that we learned throughout the semester, I was able to create 3- dimensional conceptual abstract design models. Using my skills and knowledge of the XYZ plains, I was able to create a physical 3-D abstract model combining different shapes of different sizes that explores the XYZ planes. To create this model I used 4-ply museum board, box cutter, x-acto knife, pen, white spray paint, nail filer, and a corked back ruler in order to construct this 3-D model below.
